Ooh, two posts in two days again? Don't expect anything since this is just the image Photoshop closed on me yesterday, it's quite old as it is so I figure I might as well post it before I completely hate it ;p It was pretty much just meant to be a colouring exercise. I had originally choosen nicer colours for this image and change it at some point to what it is now, I wish I had left it how it was originally since the colours are half the reason I hate it now. The other half being the horrid anatomy and that shirt, of which I've tried in vain to fix. But I like the hair and skin (both of which I usually have trouble with) enough to post it. So I'll stop typing now.
Edit: The colours look even more blah now that I see it outside of Photoshop, hmmm.
Rest in peace Marc, you were such a sweetheart and it's nothing but a shame that you had to go so early in life. It's safe to say that anyone lucky enough to have met you, will miss you greatly. <3

Some works-in-progress
All Unavisis related arts this update, sorry peeps if you don't like that. I have some other things I'd sketched and worked on these past few weeks but PS just closed the program on me while I was resizing somethings to post here and I'm feeling lazy and don't want to hook up my scanner to post the ones that are on paper, so look forward to them for next time I guess! ;D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is just a small part of a Character Sheet Commission for a friend of her Unavisi Character Willow (actually she's the one who created the Una race and started up the community for them :D) It's late unforunately I've been having issues with it and this is the third time I started over, I'm hoping I can fix this one to something I'd be happy giving to her. Cuz this girl deserves something really good! Anyhow Willow's an interesting character and I'm happy with her face shape in this, but not so much in the other portion of the model sheet, I still have consistancy problems when drawing the same characters unfortunately. Something to work on.
And this is again a crop from another model sheet. But he's my own character, I'm pretty happy with how he's turned out so far, just need to do some touch ups on the spottled markings (cept his face which I already re-did). I think I'll probably leave his sheet in flat colours. This is from a while ago but I hope finish up Willow's sheet and to start up again and finish this sheet before Christmas. Anyhow he's technically a Wanderer and not a Una but they're essentially the same only one Wanderers are nomadic and based off animals/fish instead of fruits/woods. That being said his name is Narwhal, Nar for short, obviously he's based off the whale ~ I love Narwhals (so pretty!) But Nar is sexist douchebag.
And this was a happy birthday/feel better gift art for another Una-community member/friend, that I'd done earlier last week. I didn't totally have time to finish colouring it, but hope too in the future. But I sent off the lineart with the flat colours to her earlier so it's not rediculously late (like everything I usually do >.<) I need to plan out backgrounds better so people don't end up with floaty globe things behind them and floating on pillows like this ;____;
Thanks dudes for all the kind words last post <3 Off to look at blogsss! I really need a new name for this thing, any suggestions?
Sketches Galore!
Alright :D Two posts in two days - this certainly won't last but I'm going to try anyway! So some old and some newer sketches this time all works-in-progress as I haven't finished much of anything over the summer.
Here's a preview of some Zelda: Twilight Princess fanart. A possible spoiler so I cropped it (but quite frankly if you haven't beaten it yet or already spoiled it for yourself I can't say I'm that sorry if this does haha). Anyway, this is another picture from the phase where I thought sketching and doing my lineart in photoshop was a good idea >.< But I am liking it so far, and being able to get so many details in is nice! :D Zelda's face is bothering me at the moment it's not very Zelda-esque, and her hair's not really right yet either. Midna's turned out pretty much how I'd hoped just need to fix her hood on the left there. Midna's human design always reminds me a little of the Bugrum Queen from El Hazard :/ Anyway! Hope to update with a more finished version in the not to distant future.
Another fanart still in progress, or more like on hold (yay possible con prints!?). Fran and Balthier cuz they're pretty freaking awesome together. And while I still haven't finished this game (It's just so slow paced D: Thank the lord for FF9) and find most of the characters rather bland, but I do like these two :D Balthier sort of disappeared in the scanning process he is there though haha (this on might be hard to see on bright monitors)
This is actually from this morning, there a bunch more along a similar theme (different character designs though) but I like this one best so far. Not for anything in particular, but this one was sort of an idea I had and I really just wanted to try colouring frost and ice (the whole sword is going to be ice) and this is what I came up with. You can probably take a guess at what the others might look like. Ya, I've no idea how she'd lift this sword lol. I have such a bad habit of drawing too tall girls, too low on the page, hence the horrible leg crop.
This is a really old character concept of mine like from at least 3 or 4 years ago. The drawing itself if newer however from early August I think. The anatomy is a bit wack and she's definately too tall, but the design itself is pretty close to what I wanted. She's going to have a little more of a mediterranean look colour-wise at the very least. It's for a personal project of mine, but it's still really a messy story that needs to be put on paper and sorted out. I've just been calling her Cerulean so far. She's a royal guard and nobility of sorts, and has a combat/fighting style somewhere between brawling, dance and a mix of like ball and chain type weapon (no idea what it's called but kind of similar to Gogo in Kill Bill). She can use her weapon for short and mid-long distance battling. The handles have a guard over the hand, with a rounded blade going from the thumb to pinky finger. The sash hold the two handles together is made of sturdy fabric which can be reattached if broken for whatever reason, and acts like the chain, giving her longer range. The disks hanging from her hair are also meant to be weapons, which is where the dance comes in more. I have a ton of sketches of this somewhere but can't finds them at the moment. I may possibly scrap this idea as she could potentially kill herself fighting this way. It'll be something to work out more as I get this thimg more on paper.
Another work in progress, and more Unavisi's (they're just so fun <3) Again the Unavisi race is created by Brianne Goetz (www.brianne333.deviantart.com). This is Apricot and Murta, they're pretty much married. He's a fisherman, she's a cook, they're totally cute togther (to me at least haha!) Drawing people with horns in close range to one anothers faces is a little difficult.
This was probably too much for one post, I'll keep them a little shorter in the future ;D Thanks again if you read this far!
Have at 'er!
Alright, going to try and start this thing up again (if you can call it an again lol since I never really posted here in the first place :/) Had had a lot of issues with this site, I seem to have figured 'em out in anycase. Anyways, I don't have much completed work to show from the summer and there's plenty I'll still have to scan and post, I suppose partially finished sketches would be fine too. Hopefully this'll be a bit of modivation for myself to do more drawing. Just wish I wasn't so slow haha. Here's a couple things I've done that I still like enough to show. Feels as though by the time I finish pictures now I've either improved enough I no longer like the picture anymore or maybe I'm just sick it it hehe. Anyway on to art!
Quite a few of the pictures from the summer from myself will probably be of Unavisi characters of mine. The Unavisi are a created fantasy type race (based of elves and unicorns and named and designed with fruits and woods in mind) belonging to Brianne Goetz you can see her art at well, I'll link her Deviantart page since her site's down for a major makeover at the moment you can find the link to her site on her DA page too :] It's www.brianne333.deviantart.com
Anyways this is one of the Unavisi's I was speaking of, Butternut. Based of Butternut Squash of course, she's a tobacconist, and formerly a messenger in the guard. This was actually my second sketch of her which I ended up finishing. The colouring of her hair is weak and definately something I should work on more before having another go at it lol!
The was my initial sketch of Butternut but I never quite got around to finishing it sadly.
This is another Unavisi character of mine, Kara or Karaka. Working on a character sheet this one's still a work in progress - I've gone through a bit of a phase where I thought doing my lines in photoshop would be good. What a stupid idea, this thing is taking so long, I'm not entirely sure I'll end up finishing it despite actually kind of liking it. Anyways, she's a herbalist/masseuse and has a narcissistic personality in every sense of the word.
Well I'll leave some for later I guess! I know nothing too exciting ~ yet! I'll try and update this blog a few more times this week with some of the art I'd done over the summer and maybe something new too, who knows? If you made it this far thank you for you time and all that :] I still need to think of a proper name for my blog. Any ideas for which are always welcome as are crits and such <3
